Second Connected Caring Communities Workshop a Success

Cohesion Medical were out and about again this week for the second of our workshops with people with dementia and their carers.   This time, we were off to Sporting Memories in East Kilbride to speak to group members who meet each week to reminisce, using the powerful medium of sport.

The workshop was a great success and we had some great conversations, which produced lots of useful information about what matters to people with dementia and their carers.   We also listened to their views on different technologies and are now thinking about ways in which readily available technologies, which many carers already use, could support people with dementia in the future.

Cohesion Medical would like to say a big thank you to those who took part in the workshop. We hope participants enjoyed themselves as much as we did.

Next up:  We'll be holding a workshop with Gie it Laldy in Kilmarnock's Centrestage Communities and Music Theatre, which should be our biggest one yet.

Gie it Laldy, a project supported by the Life Changes Trust, facilitates conversations and connections through musical themed memory activities, allowing people living with dementia, carers, family members and participants to come together for companionship, entertainment and community in a positive and supportive setting.
