August 10, 2015 - Innovation Driven Enterprises - thinking as a Disciplined Entrepreneur

Developing the key requirements for explosive enterprise growth

Along with other high-growth start-ups, Euan Cameron, Founder and CEO of Cohesion Medical, attended the Scotland Can Do SCALE programme in Stirling over the 3rd-7th August 2015.

The course programme was developed and delivered by Professor Bill Aulet of MIT Sloans Business Centre and focused on developing the Disciplined Entrepreneur skills necessary to generate explosive growth Innovation Driven Enterprises (IDEs).

Professor Bill Aulet provided fantastic insight into the key requirements for developing IDEs with supporting learning from Professor Noam Wasserman of Harvard Business School into the dilemmas faced by founders in raising equity and forming successful teams.

Euan found the programme highly rewarding, saying "The insights and learning I received from Bill and Noam was invaluable in developing my understanding of the skills and requirements I need to build Cohesion Medical as a successful Innovation Driven Enterprise. I really appreciated the opportunity to learn from such great teachers."

Over the week-long programme, Euan also benefited from networking with other start-ups with the same ambitions. This provided further support and connections for future cohort building activities.

Euan would like to thank Scottish Enterprise, Highlands & Islands Enterprise and in particular the SCALE/CanDo team led by Geoff Morris, Lisa Thomson and Stephanie Anderson who's hard work was a key factor in making the programme such a great success.
